CTA anticipates that approximately six hundred K-12 teacher leaders from 31 central and northern California counties will participate in this year’s Region 2 Leadership Conference. The Exhibitors Program is instrumental in providing our members with a host of valuable information on member benefits as well as educational products and resources.
The 2009 Exhibitors Program encompassed 40 booths and included CTA Endorsed Exhibitors, CTA Caucuses, and brand new exhibitors such as PG&E’s Energenius Program for students, grades kindergarten through eight; Teach Your Children, an innovative teacher supply store providing high quality classroom products; and the California State University, Sacramento, and the University of Phoenix, both sharing their respective opportunities for continuing education. This year, CTA Region 2 will provide a special prize drawing on Friday evening as well as light refreshments and a no-host bar. The Exhibitors Reception on Saturday evening, featuring Exhibitor BINGO, is a special event presented in appreciation for the patronage and networking that transpires between educators, exhibitors and staff during the conference. Exhibitor BINGO encourages interaction between our CTA members and exhibitors while providing an opportunity for members to win exhibitor-donated prizes.
Scores of member prizes in 2009 included Chris Isaak concert tickets, dinner for two at the new Grand Sierra Italian restaurant—Briscola, Rolling Travel Notebook Cases, T-shirts, Books, Gift Cards to Barnes & Noble and Target, Wine, Union Artwork, See’s Candy Gift Cards, and two Grand Sierra 2-Night Packages including dinner at Charlie Palmer’s restaurant.
The Exhibitor Area will once again be located in the Reno/Tahoe Ballroom, close to the conference registration area and participant sessions. While this venue is primarily for information gathering and networking, many exhibitors will have items available for purchase.
